Set your brand style
In the Brand style tab you set your organisation’s logo, colours, font, screen language and website address. After you publish, you see them on your screens.
Where to find it
Go to Settings → Brand style, in the Organisation group.
As long as the getting-started steps are on the dashboard, the fourth step, Set your brand style, opens the same tab. The button is called Set brand style.
Requirements
An Owner or Admin of the organisation can change the logo, colours, font and screen language. Only an Owner can change the website address.
Steps
- Open Settings → Brand style.
- Upload your logo with Upload logo.
- Check the colours the tab suggests, or enter a colour yourself.
- Choose a font.
- Choose the screen language.
- Enter the address of your website.
- Publish the changes so they reach the screens.
There is no save button. The tab saves a new logo, a chosen font, a chosen language and a click on Use these colors right away. It saves a colour or the website as soon as you leave the field. If saving fails, the tab shows “Save failed. Please try again.”
The fields
Logo
Upload a PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG of at most 10 MB. With Upload logo you add a first logo. With Replace logo you swap it for another file.
Colours
Under Colors there are four fields: Primary, Accent, Background and Text. Enter each colour as a hex code, in the form #RRGGBB. An invalid value gives the message “One color is not a valid hex value. Use #RRGGBB.”
Suggestions based on your logo
After an upload, your browser reads the colours from the logo and suggests four. Click Use these colors to take them over. You can still adjust them afterwards under Colors.
Font
You choose from six fonts: Inter, Roboto, Open Sans, Lato, Montserrat and Playfair Display.
Screen language
You choose from Nederlands, Français and English. Nederlands is the default.
The language applies to the fixed words of the real-estate layouts from gibeon.io, such as bedrooms, bathrooms and living area. The labels For Sale, For Rent and Sold also follow the language. If you choose Français, the screen shows chambres and À Vendre.
This stays as it is:
- prices and surface areas
- the title, the description and the type of a property
- words in your own layouts that the gibeon.io layouts do not use
- the weather widget
A calendar keeps the language you choose for that calendar.
Website
Enter the address of your website here. A website line at the bottom of a layout always shows this address. A QR code uses it only if the item has no link of its own.
Where you see the brand style
Logo, colours and font show up in the layouts with data on your screens. If the background colour is dark, the icons get a light colour.
If you want different colours for one layout, set them under Design › Studio. Open the layout, or choose Set up layout for a new one, and open the Style tab. Reset to brand style next to a customised colour sets that colour back to your brand style.
The weather app can follow the colours of your brand style. Read more about that in the article on the weather widget.
Publish
A saved change is not on the screens yet. A new logo, other colours, another font or another screen language put every screen of your organisation on Pending changes. The Publish N screens button at the top of the CMS puts them live.
A new website address does not put the screens on Pending changes. The address reaches the screens at the next publish. If you want it on the screens now, click Everything published at the top and choose Re-publish. Screens with zones or a sequence then restart their playback. How publishing works is explained in publishing changes.
