Connect Claude to gibeon.io
With the gibeon.io connector you manage your screens by typing in Claude. You ask, for example, which screens are offline, or you have Claude create a playlist and put it on a screen. Claude only works in the organization you choose.
Do you work with code or your own AI tool? Then read API and MCP, the page for developers.
What you need
- A gibeon.io account with access to your organization in the CMS
- Claude on claude.ai or in Claude Desktop, with a subscription that lets you add your own connectors
Steps
- Open the settings of Claude and go to Settings → Connectors.
- Click Add custom connector.
- Enter the details. Name:
gibeon.io. URL:https://www.gibeon.io/mcp. Click Add. - Click Connect on the new connector. A gibeon.io window opens. Log in if asked.
- Choose your organization under Which organization may this app use? and click Allow.
- Turn the connector on in a conversation through the tools menu under the input field. Then ask your question.
What you can ask
- “Which screens are offline right now?”
- “Create a playlist Summer sale and put this YouTube video in it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=…”
- “Put the playlist Summer sale on the screen Shop window and publish that screen.”
- “In the playlist Entrance hall, put the video first and give each block a duration of 15 seconds.”
What Claude can and cannot do
Claude can:
- Show your screens, with for each screen whether it is online or offline and which playlist it plays
- Rename a screen and put a playlist on it
- Publish one screen or all screens
- Show your playlists, with the blocks in them
- Create a playlist, rename it or delete it
- Add a block to a playlist: a YouTube video, or an image, video or slideshow with images that are already in a playlist
- Change a block: its name or duration
- Delete a block or change the order of the blocks
Claude cannot:
- Upload images or videos, or search your media library
- Add apps, such as weather, data, a QR code or a web page
- Create or change sequences or schedules
- Connect a new screen or delete a screen
- Manage your team, your settings or your subscription
When a change shows on the screen
A change only shows on the screen after you publish. Ask Claude to publish, or click Publish N screens at the top of the CMS. A screen with an active connection shows the new content within a few seconds. If the screen plays a playlist, it switches at the next block. A screen that is offline picks up the change as soon as it has a connection again. More about this in Publishing changes.
Revoking access
Open the CMS at app.gibeon.io and go to Settings → Connected apps. Click Revoke next to Claude and confirm. Claude loses access immediately. You see that tab as the owner or admin of the organization. If you are a member, email [email protected] to revoke the access.
If you only remove the connector in Claude, the access in gibeon.io stays in place until you revoke it.
Frequently asked questions
