Signagelive is built for regulated enterprise networks. A Zabun kantoor in Roeselare needs something else, and that gap is where Gibeon fits.
Signagelive does serious work in regulated, multi-region setups. Their Content Manager handles a Network of Players across UK, EU, US and APAC, with audit trails that compliance teams actually ask for. The SoC support is broad: Brightsign, LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, ChromeOS all run native, no extra box. If you're a bank or a transport operator rolling out hundreds of screens with governance requirements, the Network Edition is a reasonable shortlist. Channel and Playlist scheduling is mature. It's a strong tool for the problem it was designed to solve, which is not Belgian real estate.
Zabun sits inside the daily flow of a smaller kantoor: the agent updates a pand, edits the prijs, swaps a photo, moves a prospect through opvolging. Take the classic case, a Zabun-kantoor in Roeselare of Kortrijk met één schermlocatie. The owner updates listings herself between viewings. If the window screen doesn't pull from Zabun automatically, someone ends up maintaining a parallel PowerPoint, and by Friday the price on the glass doesn't match the mailing that went out Tuesday. Beheer of the screen has to live in the same place as beheer of the panden.
Gibeon talks to Zabun through their partner API, which we arranged directly with the Zabun team (they're responsive, that helps). Every 30 minutes we pull your active panden and refresh the fields that matter on a window screen: address, price, bedrooms, surface area, EPC label, status, and the first five photos. New listing goes live in Zabun at 10:14, it's on the glass before 10:45. If the internet drops or the Players lose connection, the last cached snapshot keeps playing, so the etalage never shows a blank screen or a loading spinner. No CSV exports, no copy-paste into a Playlist.
No. You can keep Signagelive for whatever it's doing today and add Gibeon on a separate screen, or on the same screen split by time slot. Most Zabun kantoren we onboard run Gibeon on a cheap Android stick in the window and leave existing hardware alone until it dies naturally.
Both, honestly. The governance and audit features in the Network Edition are priced and scoped for enterprise. For a small kantoor the bigger blocker is that no Channel or Playlist in Signagelive knows what a Zabun pand is. You'd be manually rebuilding listings as slides.
Yes. The 30-minute refresh runs around the clock, so an edit at 22:00 is on the screen well before the office opens. No agent has to log in, push, or publish anything. Update in Zabun, that's the whole workflow.
Spin up a free Gibeon account, send us a note for the Zabun API hook-up, and check your window screen on Friday.
