Display Google Sheets on a screen?

You have a Google Sheet with numbers, tasks or a roster that everyone in the office needs to see. Gibeon pulls the data straight to your screen and refreshes the moment you type into the sheet.

What is Google Sheets?

Google Sheets is the collaborative spreadsheet in Google Workspace. Your whole team can edit the same sheet, update formulas and reorganise columns at once. What Sheets does not do is push your content to a TV without someone leaving a tab open on a laptop that can never be closed.

How gibeon.io connects

Gibeon pulls your sheet via the Google Sheets API or a published CSV feed. You paste the sheet URL into the CMS, pick the tab and range you want, and the screen refreshes every five minutes. No Apps Script, no IMPORTRANGE tricks, no laptop tab that silently dies.

Showing Sheets on a screen can be done in multiple ways. Here are the routes teams actually use:

CHROMECAST FROM CHROME

Open your sheet in Chrome, click Cast tab and stream to a Chromecast on your TV. Works, but the laptop must stay open, no rotation between multiple sheets, and a network blip turns the screen white.

SHEET "PUBLISH TO WEB" + BROWSER KIOSK

Publish your sheet via File > Publish to web and load the URL on a mini PC or Raspberry Pi in kiosk mode. Cheap, but no branding, no rotation, no failover on internet outages.

GECKOBOARD / DASHBOARD TOOL

A KPI dashboard tool (Geckoboard, Numerics) reads your sheet and pushes to TV. Pretty for dashboards, but priced per screen and not designed for shifting content or multiple sheets in rotation.

GIBEON

Paste the sheet URL into the CMS, done. Sync every 5-15 minutes, offline cache (screen stays alive through outages), rotation across multiple sheets or tabs, branding on top. Runs on the screen you already have: Smart TV, Android stick, browser PC.

Frequently asked questions

Can I show Google Sheets on a screen?

Yes. Gibeon pulls your sheet via the Sheets API or a published CSV feed and puts the content on your screen automatically. No laptop needs to stay open in the corner.

Do I have to make my sheet public?

No. You grant Gibeon read-only access via a Google Workspace OAuth connection. Your sheet stays private to the outside world. For public sheets the Publish-to-web CSV feed works too.

How often does the screen refresh?

Every 15 minutes by default. Need faster (e.g. live KPIs every 5 min), tune it in the integration settings. A manual sync runs instantly from the CMS button.

Does it work on the screen I already have?

Yes, in most cases. Gibeon runs on Smart TVs with Google TV, on Android sticks (Xiaomi TV Stick 4K, Google TV Streamer), on browser PCs and on iiyama signage screens with built-in Android. You don't need to buy separate signage hardware.

What does it cost?

Free for 3 screens + 1 connection, no credit card required. Above that the Starter plan starts at €39/month for 5 screens with unlimited connections.

Does Google Sheets have a built-in signage feature?

No. Google Sheets has no native layer for putting content on office TVs. For automatic sync to screens you connect a third-party tool that reads the Sheets API or a published CSV feed.

Paste your sheet URL, pick your tab, and watch the numbers land on your screen within 5 minutes.
