Juuno alternative: free forever and hosted in the EU

Juuno starts at $5 per screen with a 7-day trial. Gibeon keeps three screens free forever and stores your data in Europe.

What Juuno does well

Juuno earns its tagline, digital signage without the complexity. You turn any screen into a sign on a Chromecast, Android TV or Fire Stick you already own, so there is no proprietary hardware to buy. The dashboard is clean and the building blocks are sensible: Workspaces per client, franchise or department, plus Zones & Overlays, Dayparting and Proof of Play. Unlimited team members with no seat pricing is a genuinely fair touch. At $5 per screen the entry point is hard to beat, and for a quick plug & play setup across a few TVs it does the job well.

Where Juuno falls short

Juuno has no permanent free plan. You get 7 days, then every screen costs money from day one. Gibeon keeps three screens free forever, no trial clock. Second, Juuno is run by Whoop Group out of Sydney on non-EU infrastructure. Gibeon hosts everything in the EU on Supabase EU and Cloudflare EU, with GDPR by default on every tier, which matters when a Belgian client asks where their data lives. Third, Gibeon generates a scene or content straight from a text prompt. And if you run a real-estate office, Gibeon syncs by name with Whise, Omnicasa and Zabun, so listings land on the screen on their own.

Switching from Juuno

Start with the free Gibeon tier and rebuild your most-used Juuno layout first. Zones and overlays map over without much fuss. Then point a screen at the Gibeon URL instead of opening the Juuno app. No device login, no re-pairing. Once a few screens look right, move the rest at your own pace and cancel Juuno when you are ready.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to throw out my Chromecast and Fire Sticks?

No. Those run a browser, which is all Gibeon needs. You point the device at a Gibeon URL and the screen plays. There is no app to install and no login on the device itself, so the hardware you bought for Juuno keeps working.

My clients ask where their data sits. What do I tell them?

In the EU. Gibeon runs on Supabase EU and Cloudflare EU, with GDPR by default on every plan including the free one. Juuno is run from Sydney on non-EU infrastructure, which can be a sticking point when a Belgian or Dutch client reviews your contract.

Is the free plan actually free or just another trial?

Free forever for three screens, no card and no countdown. Juuno gives you 7 days, then bills per screen. If you run a handful of screens in one office, you may never need to pay Gibeon at all.

Spin up the free three-screen tier and paste one URL onto a TV you already own. If it sticks, move the rest off Juuno when it suits you.
