Up and running in a few minutes. Final steps will land here once we have tested the stick in-house.
- Plug the Xiaomi TV Stick into an HDMI port on your TV.
- Connect the supplied USB power adapter.
- Run through the Google TV setup and sign in with a Google account.
- Open the Play Store, search for "Gibeon Player" and install.
- Open Gibeon Player and enter the activation code from your CMS.
What to configure
Switch these five options on before running the screen unattended.
Enable HDMI-CEC
On both the stick (Settings → Device Preferences → HDMI-CEC) and the TV. The TV then powers on and off with the stick.
Auto-update apps
Play Store → profile icon → Settings → Network preferences → Auto-update apps. Gibeon Player stays up to date without intervention.
Turn off the screensaver
Settings → System → Screensaver → "Never". Prevents the screen from switching to the Google logo after a few minutes.
Display over other apps for Gibeon Player
Settings → Apps → Special access → "Display over other apps" → Gibeon Player → On.
Disable inactivity sleep
