Installation

Done in a few minutes.

  1. Plug the Xiaomi TV Stick into an HDMI port on your TV.
  2. Connect the supplied USB power adapter.
  3. Run through the Google TV setup and sign in with a Google account.
  4. Open the Play Store, search for "gibeon.io player" and install it.
  5. Open gibeon.io player and enter the activation code shown in your CMS.

What to set

Turn on these five options before you leave the screen running unattended.

Enable HDMI-CEC
On both the stick (Settings → Device Preferences → HDMI-CEC) and the TV. That way the TV switches on and off together with the stick.
Auto-update apps
Play Store → Profile icon → Settings → Network preferences → Auto-update apps. This keeps gibeon.io player up to date without anyone stepping in.
Turn off the screensaver
Settings → System → Screensaver → "Never". Stops the screen from jumping to the Google logo after a few minutes.
Display over other apps for gibeon.io player
Settings → Apps → Special access → "Display over other apps" → gibeon.io player → On.
Disable inactivity sleep
Settings → System → Power → "Never". A signage screen should never drop into standby.
